Booking & Availability

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend reaching out at least 3-4 months in advance for standard commercial work. For international editorial campaigns or highly produced lookbooks, 6 months notice is preferred to handle complex logistics, location scouting, and creative alignment.

Pricing

What are your rates?

Because every project is bespoke, we do not have a standard rate card. Pricing is determined by the scope of the campaign, usage rights, travel requirements, and whether the project is shot on analog film or digital formats. Contact us with a creative brief for a detailed estimate.

Process

Do you shoot film or digital?

Our signature look is heavily influenced by analog processes, primarily using medium format film (Portra 400 and Tri-X 400). However, for commercial expediency or extreme low-light scenarios, we also utilize high-resolution digital systems (Phase One), meticulously color graded in post-production to match our analog aesthetic.

Location & Travel

Do you travel for commissions?

Absolutely. While our studio and darkroom are based in New York, we frequently travel globally. Travel expenses (flights, lodging, and per diem) are billed directly to the client at cost.

Image Delivery & Turnaround Time

How and when are the final images delivered?

Digital proofs are delivered within 48 hours for selection. Final retouched images are typically delivered within 2-3 weeks via a secure, private gallery link. For analog projects, scanning and color-correcting film adds an additional 5-7 business days.

Editing & Retouching

What is your retouching philosophy?

We believe in "invisible retouching." We do not plastify skin or warp human forms. Our post-production focuses on color grading, dodging, burning, and removing temporary blemishes to ensure a natural, editorial finish that retains genuine human texture.

Who owns the copyright to the images?

As is standard in the industry, Stitch Studio retains the copyright to all created works. Clients are granted specific licensing rights (e.g., global print, digital campaign, perpetual) depending on the negotiated contract. Full copyright buyouts are available at a premium rate.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

What happens if weather forces a reschedule?

For location shoots highly dependent on weather (e.g., our cinematic landscape series), we build a "weather day" into the contract. If a shoot must be postponed entirely, the initial retainer can be applied to a future date within 6 months.

Fine Art Prints & Albums

Do you offer physical prints?

Yes. We work closely with a master printer in Brooklyn to produce archival pigment prints and silver gelatin prints. Custom, hand-bound albums can also be commissioned for private editorial or high-end documentary projects.

Payment

What are your payment terms?

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your dates on our calendar. The remaining balance is due net-30 days from the final delivery of the high-resolution assets.
